‘Gav’

Gav was a super quick study of my uncle, it was taken from a really nice photo from a lovely day we had for his birthday. I chose the envelope as I really liked the Royal Mail stamp details along the top right edge. My main concern with this piece was capturing his air and personality. The quick brush marks captures shadow and texture and varies in boldness and scratchiness when portraying rough hair and facial textures. Happy Birthday Gav.
